I just looked at the Weather Channel's site, and it doesn't look I'm going to be getting a lot of snow in the proposed storm. Highs for tomorrow and Tuesday are well above freezing, and they have rain forecasted for Monday afternoon. Bleh. Figures.
All I want is a good old fashioned blizzard. Am I asking for too much here? Just one little blizzard, that's all I want.

The site doens't have an idea, but Newport and South East New Engladn looks like about a foot according to the latest televised reports on the weather channel. --kC |

yeah, there's something I've learned. The weather channel cannot forecast New Engalnd accurately at all. Watch the local news, they're better.
And from what I've been hearing, this is supposed to rival the blizzard of 78 |

Supposedly, CT and RI are gonna get hit the worst. As much as 24". Boston area looks about 8-12". Of course, this is a preliminary forecast.

My logic is this:
I love snow. I love snow storms. I love driving in snow. Therefore, it will not be much of a snow storm. Hopefully by speaking I will be made to look the fool and it will really dump on us. |

In Albany, we have about 10in of snow here. I already got stuck in snow about 30 min ago. I was going through some deep snow on top of snow we had a few weeks ago, and got stuck. I had to use a shovel to get some snow out of the way. That's the first time I ever got stuck in snow with my RS.

I hope you're happy now, worrying that we're not going to get any snow. It's coming down in buckets, and it's not going to stop for a very long time. I had to walk to Store 24 to get some dinner because I couldn't be bothered to dig my car out and drive to a real grocery store. So maybe by tomorrow night the snow will have died down a little bit and I'll be able to dig my car out and find a parking lot = ).

This is really funky. We skipped lunch to get through classes early today so we could go home before "THE STORM." Well, I saw flurries last night, rain, sleet, and maybe one snowflake today. Holy crap, I just saw lightning and now I'm hearing thunder. This is messed up. I haven't seen thunder and lightning during the winter in 3 or 4 years. I'm still a little curious as to when the snow will start. The snow forecast has been brought down to as little as 3" to as much as 10". Can I have 10 please?
Edit: That wanting 10" thing just sounds wrong. [This message has been edited by Skirvdawg (edited March 05, 2001).] |

I hav about a total of 2 inches outside. It's all about where you live. Oh, well. At least I will get to go to the beach to check out some coastal flooding! I feel underwhelmed, again.

What gyp!!! It's almost sunny here in Newport. No rain, no snow. The roads look pretty clear. My car doesn't have any snow or ice on it. I guess I should watch the news so that I can learn that the big storm is coming later.

Admit it, you were just wondering if the weather would be nice enough this weekend for you to drive the Metro convertible to P-town. |
