Default NCM celebrates anniversary with special Artic White Corvette Grand Sport

Quote:
For $150, you can have one chance out of 2,009 to win the National Corvette Museumís raffle for an Artic White Corvette Grand Sport built with a six-speed manual transmission, dual mode exhaust and a ZR1-sourced rear spoiler.

The Museum, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary, only made 2,009 tickets so everyone can have a relatively good shot at winning. Up for grabs is the Corvette Grand Sport that features a unique yet tasteful black hood treatment with Corvette Racingís Jack mascot painted at the center bulge with a red stripe outline.

The Museum has also placed its own seal of approval on the Grand Sport by adding its logo to the carís B-pillar. Second prize is $10,000 and third prize is $5,000. The special edition Vette will be raffled off on September 6.

interesting set of raffles they have there. So a Grand Sport looks like a Z06, but is not one.

Sort of, actually looks rather unique with it's front fender brake ducts and the optional GS stripes. It replaces the Z51 package C6, and is faster and better handling thanks to it's wider fenders and tires. It also includes larger brakes, better suspension tuning, a dry-sump oil system, diff cooler and rear-mount battery. If I could afford any Corvette, the Grand Sport is the one I'd want.

I used to have an 05 Z51. So the GS package replaces that.. interesting! I dig the wider flares.

Dude, I need to set up a raffle.

Buy a car. Make it "custom". And take in $300K+ in raffle tickets.

^^ true! they make out quite well. I would be pizzed if I owned a Z06 though.. the car looks very much like a Z now, and the graphics and what not make it look like a "super" Z, yet it would get spanked by a Z.. oh well, I guess GM needs to think of ways to sell these.
