Default access port v1 vista connection to pc. problems with connection

ive read the book. i have windows vista. i have the access port pluged in and connected to the computer usin the supplied comnnection cord and that connects to a another cord that leads into a usb into my computer. i downloaded the software and selected the SYNC TO PC on the access port and all it says is WAITING FOE PC. it simply will stay in that screen and nothing further. anyone chime in. please. the access port has already been married to the car.

What version of Vista are you running? If you are running 64-bit OS, the software will be incompatible with your computer. If it is a 32-bit operating system, make sure you have the latest versions of the software downloaded off our website and try to connect again.
