Default It's my turn...

As many of you have heard the engine on my wagon let go on the way up to the Denali Meet at Parks Hwy marker 89 (no cross has been erected yet).

I was following Klanner and we did a couple of passes (yeah, we had some fun before it let go). I dipped back in getting ready for another pass and I heard a faint sound and very little power. We pulled over, heard some clicking, gave each other the "Oh $%#*" look, cleared a code and I tried to make it back... only got a mile before it shut down.

I thought I was done with mods but I guess the car had other ideas.

Car is going to be brought to my house on Monday and tear down will begin sometime this week.

1.) I have my suspicions but I don't know what failed.
2.) Yes it had plenty of oil, no it isn't leaking.
3.) No... I don't know what the build will look like or what upgrades (all depends on $$$).
4.) No... I am not parting out so don't ask.

Special thanks to Klanner and his other half for going out of their way to go get their newly acquired STI so I could make the meet.

I thought this picture said it all.

My son said "take my picture" and then came up with this pose

Yep, I just have to round up some sponsorship... I wonder how the wagon would look with ARAMARK down one side and CONTINENTAL down the other...

Sorry to hear about the engine.... thing was a good runner. Wonder what went wrong. I guess sometimes its just the way it goes pay-to-play and all that crap. Once you figure what went wrong I'm sure it won't BE THAT BAD. Cherry picker and some hours and your good to go...and this way you get some forged pistons in the process. If you want a hand let me know.

sorry to hear about this Ralph. I hope things work out faster and better for you than they have so far for me and my car. I went out and bought a new car in the meantime.

(No, you may NOT have it. I know what you think right now)

Big thanks to Matanuska Towing and Recovery, they were on the scene quickly (on Friday) and were able to roll the wagon right into the garage (didn't even have to get my hands dirty).

Tear down starts tonight.

Note: Klanner is on the right, trying to figure out how to get my wheels and turbo.

I am so sorry to hear about your car, Ralph. I have no doubt it will be back better then ever, though. If you can keep Kevin from stealing all your parts.

Good luck with the new build. You know you secretly wanted to do it, anyway.
