Default Car Dead Immediately After Hour Drive

So i seem to have an electrical issue, and I never have had any problem before. Its an 03 wrx with 27k on it. How this started...My friend pulled the intake manifold off my car to make sure the injectors were all good to go(because of misfires), and put everything back on. Along with hooking the alternator back on he also put a different ac compressor on the car because mine was broken. Car ran fine, as did the AC and i drove it 200 miles and parked it for a night. Next day it turns on fine and i continue home(another 200 miles.) A week later after normal driving i take a trip to the east coast by plane. So a week later when i come back, my car wont start. Ive left it at least a good 4 days before and never had it not start on me. When i get a jump start Ill drive around but the lights on my dash and my overhead light inside the car flicker. My last drive i drove it for over an hour and it accelerates fine but as soon as the drive was over it acted as if i pulled the battery out. No mileage or anything was being displayed on the dash. Any clue what is going on? Can a faulty AC compressor screw up the electrical in a car? The ac compressor i believe was in a crash so who knows what is going on with it. Any help is much appreciated!!

If everything appears dead after shutting the engine down (including no odometer display), try connecting up a jumpstart battery. Does the odo etc work? If so, could be a bad battery in your car.

If everything still appears dead, check the terminals are clean and are making a good connection & if still bad, save yourself more trouble & have an autoelec look it over. Tey've got the tools to test the system out and quickly arrive at the problem.

Good luck.

Sounds to me like your battery is dead. Also sounds like the alternator connectors might have been damaged, so the car was running on battery juice, which is now 'non-juiced'.
