Reputable Transmission Shops in NC...

my ver 4 RA tranny is in need of synchros... Just wondering if there are any reputable shops in the NC area that can get this done for me... I have been conversing with Dale at boxer 4 but was wondering what else was out there...

Pm The Worm I think thats his sn here aswell. His dad owns a trans shop that does great subie trans work. Next nearest to you would be Turbo Time in Cary NC. Ryan can rebuild your trans. and If they cant get you in you can bring it down to me at Epic and I'll knock it out.

Dad's shop is in Salisbury, Probably 30 minutes from you. I can pm you his number if you want it.
He's been working on Subaru's for 30+ years.

i know this may be off topic and i apologize to the op but does your dads shop do head work or could they recommend me to a place in Charlotte area

If you're in Charlotte give Steven a call, 42Autosports is his shop down in Rock Hill SC, maybe 10 - 15 minutes outside Charlotte. I Just had him do all my wheel bearings, and strut install at the start of the summer. Great guy, not to mention one, of two drivers of the GTR that won overall this year in One Lap of America

Yeah. Steven is a good bet for that. While dad has been working on Subaru's as long as I can remember, he's more of a garage than a performance shop (although he does keep busy with the wrx transmissions)

Just thought you might want to know RLZ, a reputable honda/cnc porting business is said to have a cnc port job ready by the end of winter. There Honda cnc jobs are suppose to be some of the best. Thought it would be worth mentioning.

where are you first of all. raleigh, Cottman transmissions has always been nice to us. they are off capitol blvd.When our ford explorer blew up twice, they rebuilt the tranny for about a grand. now we have a f250 diesel, and it does not care whether the trailer is there or not. Turbo Time is another very good source. If it is subaru related... they can certainly fix it.
