Default Having a bad day? How about being a window washer?

Think you are having a bad day? How about if the window washing scaffold you are on gives way, leaving you over 350 feet in the air? I've jumped from the 250 foot towers at Ft Benning (with a parachute) and humans look pretty small, so even for these guys, some serious pucker factor.

Globe article.

8/6/9. A pair of window washers at the peak of a Financial District skyscraper yesterday morning were jolted from their perch when their platform abruptly pitched downward, leaving them dangling 37 floors above the street and banging the windows for help.

When I heard the news, I walked a block from my work to check it out. That's some scary stuff, I felt scared just watching. I hope the fire department brought them some clean underwear as well...

It was, since I work on the 38th Floor of that building and was right above it! It was pretty crazy. 53 State Street, Exchange Place. We could see the scaffolding and hear when they broke the glass.

Thank goodness those guys got out alive...they usually scare us pretty bad when they appear behind us in office meetings and start washing the windows.

There is still some glass on the street we found today.
