Default Subaru sales soar 34 percent

Helped along by introduction of the all-new 2010 Legacy model, sales of Subaru vehicles increased by a whopping 34 percent last month, when compared to sales in July 2008 report released this morning by Subaru of America Inc. shows the company sold 21,839 vehicles last month. That compares to sales of 16,271 units during the same month a year ago.
Among vehicles built at the Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc. plant in Lafayette:
Sales of the Legacy line shot up by 34 percent to 2,340 units.

Sales of the Outback line, which includes the Legacy wagon, increased by 33 percent, to 4,971 units.

Sales of the Tribeca dropped by 10 percent, to 707 vehicles.

Among Subaru's Japanese-made models, sales of the Impreza line grew by 41 percent, to 6,247 units; while sales of the Forester line increased by 36 percent, to 7,574 units.

Numbers are also higher because of C.A.R.S. or what the the media calls Cash for Clunkers. Numbers are also down on the Tribeca because of it as well.

On the clunkers help website it shows Subaru up 2.2% by Aug5 due to the program.

Subaru even advertises for it

I am happy that Ford is doing good. The only privately owned American car manufacturer and the only one that was smart enough to think ahead and manage them selves well. I hope they keep doing well.

Crazy that Subaru is doing that well.
