Default Cost of WRC engine on subaruwrcspares.com

http://www.subaruwrcspares.com is a really cool site.
They have S11 and S9 engines for sale with no displayed price. I emailed them for a price and got this response "WRC engine re-built & dyno run from 22000"

I figured some of you guys have wondered how much they go for on that site.

Which equals $36,834.50 at the conversion rate.

I would do a hell of a lot of other things with 36 grand than buy a rebuilt engine.

No you don't. It's cold, grey and damp.

I miss being able to watch the UK round of the WRC though McRae charging through a Welsh forest is forever imprinted on my memory.

They took a couple days to respond.

Dont know what those parts are, but they look like they are at least 5200.

There really wouldn't be any benefit to using one of those engines on the street. They're designed to make the best of a ****ty situation. The ****ty situation I speak of is a 34mm restriction. I'm sure if Prodrive didn't have to take that into consideration, they would have ended up with something completely different.
