2004 WRX fog light installation?

So both of my fog lights went out (at different times, just luck of the timing). However I can't fig out how to get to the bulb housing to replace them, anyone know how?

1. Pop off the front painted cover of fog lights with a small screwdriver. Be careful not to chip the paint.

2. Look directly beneath the fog light, on the underside of the car. There is a large black plastic protector plate covering the bottom of the fog light. This piece extends from the bumper all the way to the end of the fender. It is basically an extension of the skidplate.

3. What you have to do is take out the fog lights in order to change the bulb. There are two bolts holding the fog light in, with the head of the bolt located just on the other side of this plastic piece. You will need a 10mm socket IIRC.

4. Undo these two bolts and the foglight just slides out. Be sure to disconnect the harness so you can completely take the assembly out. Then all you do is twist and pull the bulb out.

Sweet. thanx draco for the link! my wagon JUST turned 9 years old and a fog went out. never would have thought an OEM fog lamp would last 9 years! here's to another 9!!!
