Default Really really cheap Tein RA coilovers

I'm just trying to dump these off as I'm selling my wrx and don't plan on using them on my forester.

I had these rebuilt a few years ago and have driven them very very little since (I autocrossed on them for a season, took them off and haven't used them since).

Front springs are 10k (valving is 8k), Rears are 12k (valving is 10k). I have 8k and 6k springs as well. Top mounts in front are custom Chris Fenter camber/castor mounts.

I paid $1600 to have these rebuilt, and want to get $1k for them. PM me if you are interested or need more info.

What is the reasoning for this?
>> Front springs are 10k (valving is 8k), Rears are 12k (valving is 10k)

Also are these capable of being street drivin on a day to day basis?

LT, I sent a response to you PM before seeing the question here. Here's my answer in case anybody else is wondering:

I had them revalved to match closely to the spring rates I was using for racing.

The 10k valving in the front was good for the 10k springs in the front as Tein recommends using a +/- 2k spring from the valving, so I did the rears at 10k as well since I knew I wouldn't go higher than the rates I had on there. I have friends that have exceeded that 2k just fine, but I wanted to match the valving a bit closer.

They're capable of being driven on the street. What I'd do is swap out for the 8k springs in the front and the 6k springs in the rear. The rears would be slightly undersprung for the damping but you can adjust the dampers so it wouldn't be horrible. Overrdamped is less of a problem than under as when they're underdamped you will blow the shocks. The suspension comes "stock" with 8k front, 6k rear and handled really well with them that way - if I can't sell them that would be what I would do and put them on my forester. The reason I went high rate in the back was to get better rotation of the car in autocross.

Another spring option would be to leave the 10k in the front, but switch to the 8k's in the rear. That is the spring rates that Tein Flex's come with and would work well on the WRX. What makes the ride quality harsh is the high rear spring rates, so lowering them would be better for the street. The car feels absolutely great with the suspension on, it transforms it to another car that handles like a slot car.
