First off, I've tried to give Buckbomb, AKA Gabe Clevinger, AKA GCS Customs, the benefit of the doubt since other I-clubbers have received his product and seem to be happy with it. I was patient for as long as I could be. This post is about BAD customer service.
In brief, I paypal'd Buckbomb $125 for a black powdercoated mesh grill kit on 1/23/02. I have still not received the product. In addition, Buckbomb has been terrible about updating his customers. He has even admitted so much (it's a 21-page thread currently) in a post on 4/24. The problem is, he has not updated us since then! Because this has gotten so ridiculous, I just reviewed the entire threat to make a point. Here is the basic timeline: 10/10/01 - Buckbomb starts the thread and says the grill kits will be ready in 1 month 10/12/01 - Buckbomb posts and claims "I will conduct this Group buy Legitimately and Profesionaly. I just wanted to let you guys know that you can trust me to follow through on this group buy." (his caps) 10/22/01 - I post that I'm in 2/4/02 - Buckbomb posts a list of people in on the group buy and my name is on the list as PAYED (incidentally, to this date I have received no direct communication from Buckbomb - no PM, no e-mail) 2/20/02 - Buckbomb posts that the black grill kits will arrive at his place on 3/7/02 3/21/02 - Buckbomb posts that the black grill kits are going to be shipped out 3/27/02 4/1/02 - Buckbomb apoligizes for neglecting the group buy (his previous post was 3/21) and PROMISES to have the kits shipped out the weekend of 4/6-7 4/11/02 - Buckbomb posts that the powdercoaters haven't gotten back to him 4/13/02 - Buckbomb posts that he has received the kits and will ship them out 4/15/02 4/24/02 - Buckbomb posts that he boxed half of the kits and ran out of boxes. He states he will have half the order shipped "today" and hopes to get more boxes by tomorrow As of right now (5/2/02) I have received no kit and no update since 4/24. Again, I do believe I will eventually get the kit (some of his other customers are starting to doubt it - see the recent posts). This is a lesson in how NOT to communicate with your customers. Lesson over.

Yup, same here. I have sent him several PMs asking for a refund, as well as posting it a couple of times in the thread. No replies. None.

I think the moniker "Buckbomb" is a fitting description for Gabe Clevinger, as once you send your bucks to this guy, they seem to disintegrate. My experiences with this ****ass are almost identical to drjosh's. I, too, paid for a black STi hood scoop screen on 01/23/02 and have had to endure the torture of continual reminder of the motto caveat emptor (buyer beware) through almost daily forum updates about the lack of concern, lack of communication, lack of product, that Buck, a/k/a Gabe Clevinger has exhibited.
I, as well, have not received my screen, nor have I received any response to my emails, forum posts, or PMs to this bastard about this problem. Unlike drjosh, I do believe that Buck has ripped most of us off as not only has he not shipped most peoples product, but, as far as I can tell upon review of the 21-page thread, he has not refunded any monies when requested. This does not only affect the people who have purchased these grills through the i-club forum GB, but also involves several people who have won these items through ebay auctions. My advise: DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS THIEF! Despite months of waiting, emailing, PMing, forum posting, this sneak has failed to provide tenable reasons for not having sent out his products or refunds, and refuses to update i-club members on a timely basis. Has anyone even seen a kit in person?? I wonder if he even delivered the other kits. I know black was the majority, but how about the others. I order a black kit and sent in the money on 1-10-02 and haven't recieved even a e-mail confirming my order with him. All i saw was my name on his list. I guess the next thing would be to try and get a group together for some legal action.

To be fair to Buckbomb, I should post that I have now received my mesh grill kit. It came Friday (5/10), I think.
Of course, it doesn't change what I think about his customer service. There were no updates since 4/24. In addition, if you look at the post you'll see what it took to finally get the kits in the mail - multiple serious legal threats and many PO'ed I-clubbers. The kit looks okay, nothing more. I haven't installed it yet, but I guess that's a topic for another forum. |

I sent via PayPal $105 to Gabe Clevinger ("Buckbomb") on January 27th (this year) for two screens and have never received the product or reply or refund. I see the primary thread (where he was taking money from so many people like me) was "deleted" for some reason. If anybody knows how to reach him, that would be great to know.
