Default FS OH: Back up for sale - Prodrive Alcon front calipers, 2 piece rotors, Ferodo pads

SOLD!

The buyer for these brakes has officially flaked, so they are up for sale again.

Prodrive Alcon 330mm brakes with AP Racing 2 piece rotors (rotors are made to fit the alcon calipers - aluminum center sections, 5x100 bolt pattern) and 1 set of brand new Ferodo pads: $900 shipped, pretty firm

The brakes were on a rolling shell I bought recently so while they look fine by visual inspection I've never actually used them. If I'm not able to sell I'll probably just keep them for myself.

The rotors had some surface rust but I hit them with wire brush wheel and they look much better now. My feeling is that after driving around for a day or 2 they'd be clean again. The nice thing is since they're 2 piece, they are super lightweight and the braking surface can be replaced relatively inexpensively. In Prodrive's infinite wisdom they made the calipers white, and as you can see they are pretty dirty. I'd probably have them painted or powder coated black to match nicely with brake dust

Pic of them on the car:

Pics of them partially disassembled in my garage:

Any way you can verify if these things are working? Can you contact the previous seller?

Yep - The owner said that the brakes were working properly when the engine blew up. Since that time the car has been sitting

pmed ya back

I didn't notice the caliper being gouged at all, but let me just reconfirm that when I get home tonight and I'll post back (it won't be until ~9pm est though.... late night tonight). I'm 99.999% sure it's just the picture and that there is no gouge, and will post back with another picture to confirm that.

Nope, definitely no gouges in the caliper. It was just a bad angle on the first pic. I snapped a quick shot tonight when I got home, granted it was the best I could do since it is pretty dark in my garage right now:

Hehe, yea they're more of an off-white color with a bit of grey mixed in. I think the first thing I'd do before installing these would be some dark paint to match with road grime and brake dust

Thanks for the bumpage!
