Cabo is awesome but I'm old and don't do the spring break thing. Plus I stay at my condo in Cabo del jose just south of San Lucas. Cabo San Lucas is a gross city but Del Jose is little and more authentic and there are a couple of nice bars plus it's closer to all the good surf spots. I'm voting for Cabo and you need to go surfing while your there.

They are all good spots depending what you plan on doing when you are there. The gulf side of mexico the water is warmer. Hawaii is too expensive. Cabo night life is probably the best (was there for sammy hagar's (SP) birthday last year)

I voted for hawaii... but hawaii will prob be more expensive than any of the others. I also think there are better places to go in hawaii then to kona if you are going to go to hawaii.

is this a time share your parents are giving you? if it is,(and this could only apply to some timeshare companies) you have to be 25 to check into any mexico timeshares. my gf and i were going to use her parent's timeshare in cancun but couldn't we can in the u.s. though cuz you only have to be 21 to use u.s. timeshares.

also, the beaches on the gulf side of mexico aren't that great anymore, they're really small and mostly washed away now. i've been recently.
my parents went to mazatlan and said cancun side was better. i don't know were zhoulahijos or whatever is.
never been to puerto vallarta or pueto rico.
i've been to hawaii, but maybe not the same island as kona reef. but i chose that one because hawaii's beaches are still pretty huge. not nearly as washed away as say cancun's beaches.

most kona beaches are rocky though.... not your typical long sandy beaches that are found on many other of the hawaiian islands. Kona side is also really dry and has much more lava style landscape. I like kona, but i think there are way better places on the islands.... that being said, for the OP's reasoning behind it, it might not be a bad option if you dont have to pay for the housing.

I would add Plya Del Carmen. South of Cancune. Or Cozumel. In your choices. The West side of Mexico is a **** hole. If you want great beaches, and wonderful diving or snorkeling then those 2 options are the best.
Just my $02 worth.

Are those hotels the only options? I mean, I know that those are all party places, but this time of year I would LOVE to go to BC or Alberta. Gorgeuos up there around now.

Banff is cool. I used to live in calgary and could get out there in a couple of hours... Lake louise and what not. Not much night life up there though, just heavy beer.
