Post How to install Unorthedox Pulley kit

What tools are needed to remove the crank pulley on the Ej25?
I had heard some where that that it is pressure fitted but I don't want to take it to the shop to have it done.

The Crank Pulley is held on by a single bolt, and a keyed area. It is fairly easy to remove and install the new one. No need to take it to a shop.

1. remove the radiator overflow bottle (bolts on top)
2. remove the radiator fans (bolts on top, tabs on the bottom)
3. Make sure you unplug the fans before you pull them out.
4. remove the alternator and AC belts. There are 2 adjustment bolts. Loosen and remove the belts.
5. Get a 22mm? socket and place it on the end of the longest breaker bar you can find 1/2" drive recommended. put some pipe on the end of the breaker bar.
6. get a friend to sit in the car. place the car in 4th gear, and hold hte brakes down.
7. Loosen the crank pulley bolt. Just keep trying, I think the factory torque spec is like 140lbs/in.
8. Install is the reverse of above. Make sure you plug the fans back in.

I removed the overflow bottle and nothing else. Put the socket on the nut and turned motor till the breaker bar rested on top of the frame rail next to the battery. Then have someone bump the key. DO NOT start the motor. No strain on your back at all.
