Default Tire size dilemma

I have 17" BBS on my 2002 Wrx, I always wrap them in the size 215/45/17 tires. My problem (which I already know is normal) is that tires don't last very long. Maybe 10K-15K per set.

I have a company that is willing to give me lifetime tires but the only size they carry them in that is close would be 215/50/17. Never paying for new tires again for as long as I own my car sounds awesome to me, What do you guys think, is it worth the tire size change??

If you're going through tires that quickly, there's something else wrong. How are they wearing? Inside or outside edge? Front or back? Right or left? Rotating tires? When was the last time you had an alignment?

Falken 329's, The tires wear perfect, no abnormal wear, just wear quickly.

I think I'd sooner rip my turbo out than drive on those tires for the rest of my car's life. FFS.

I agree. Those tires are the lowest of low.

Yah, the tire choice is not the greatest there, little suprise they are offering it lifetime, but to answer your question....

Bumping to a 50 AR is going to be a bit tall. Your going to lose some of your gearing advantage from it, not so great on the 5 speed. It's a little better to run a bit shorter tire if anything.

Do they have a 225/45/17 avail?
