Unhappy Head version 4 on Version 8 shortblock (which gasket??)

Hi , im from montreal subaru club ,

I want to know what you think is the good gasket for this .
I have a version 4 head ans a version 8 block semiclosedeck.

I think the right gasket are the ej20g one because of the high compression of the v8 block we need to put thicker gasket than the v8 original gasket.

The gasket that is on the motor right now is the v8 one....and i think the motor will dont last long time with that... (if he didnt broke because of that !)(see the story below)

the story of my car is that i put a version 4 engine when i blowned up my 2.5 (2001 2.5rs )
the version 4 broke on the rod bearing 2 week after
i rebuilt it with a new v4 block and 2 week after it blowned again
but this time i put v8 block wich is semiclosedeck ans more stronger
but 1 week after (this weekend), the tensionner of the timing belt broke (cylinder)(the tensionner is brand new!)(what you think of a tensionner broke after like 6000km?)
and the piston go into the valves....
im good for a 4th engine rebuilt.....but tihs time i think is the guy who rebuilt the engine have compress the tensionner cylinder too fast that cause the failure ...and the gasket too small(mince) ....and the v8 block have a piston flap (clak clak sound 1000km after de built)....(the block is supposer to be new(rebuilter with new bearing etc)...i dont want a new block that doing that sound)
this time im pissed off , i want the guy to pay for is error and understand that he have to rebuilt the whole motor because is because of him if all is broken.

sorry if you dont understand my story is verry complicated....

but i verry need HELP to know what to do with that and this guy (the mecanician) (is not a shop but the guy was working in a shop before and he has built like 60 motor)

Thank you, post your idea, what cause the failure of the tensionner ?!
too much compression ??
etc...

sorry for my english im french

Guillaume
