Default Draco Performance Took 2nd at Redline Time Attack Street Class

Well, we worked a tireless third shift all week last week to get grey ready for the unlimted class this weekend. By Saturday afternoon, things were looking very promising.....until she got on the dyno and decided to have some electrical issues. Barry spent all night trying to trace them and get her broke in and tuned. By 6am on Sunday, choices had to be made and it was obvious we were not going to get grey broke in and tuned in time for the Sunday competition, sooo, we ran home, showered, got the kids ready and headed down in our 04 stock vf39 subaru to enter Time Attack Street Class.

We were running on Bridgestone Potenzas, per Redline rules for the class that Barry has never used before, new brakes from a supplier that wanted us to try them, 4 days of no sleep, missing Saturday Practice, Sunday Practice and first round competition.....

We turned out the second fastest time for the weekend in the hottest part of the day for both awd and over all street class. Turning faster times then even some of the modified and a few unlimited cars there. Only to be beaten by some very good friends of ours, the Turn in Concepts Built WRX including 2.5 built block, 30r rotated mount kit, sti 6sp and supporting mods, he outpowered us in the straights! None the less, we are VERY satisfied with the results and look forward to our next competition that will inlcude both our DD STi and our official time attack cars!

Congrats guys. Will the Redline Time Attack be at GT Live (VIR) this year? I've heard rumors that there are a lot of changes this time.

yeah, that stinks, our next event is this weekend in New Jersey. Redline will be at Englishtown. Our plan is to take Grey, our 06 Time Attack STi as well as the car that we took last, time, our vf39 street performance sti.

Looking forward to some feedback on NJMP. It's supposed to be a nice place, and it's 30 min from the in-laws' house. Win/win for both the wife and me!

that course is awesome. there is a really nice elevation change on the back straight where the pontiac gt cars where almost lifting front wheels at the crest. I was up there crewing for a local Koni challenge team when it first opened back in September or October IIRC. I was there for the inaugural race where pobst showed a big flaw with the front strait away and the pit entrance.

What did Randy do? I'm assuming a little get-together with someone on track?

We are looking forward to it. From what I can tell, not many competitors have ever been to that track and it is quite technical, so it should be some really good racing.

He lost control coming around the last corner before the straight due to some gravel on course and went head first into the pit barrier wall. There weren't any tires or anything to break the impact at the time so it was straight into concrete. The motor ended up about 100 yds away from the car if that tells you anything.
