Default 2004 wrx AP v1 ,, possible boost problem stage 2?

hey i was hoping someone may be able to tell me whats up..

i have a borla hush cat back.. and a cattless 3" HKS downpipe..

i just flashed to stage 2 the 93 octane map on the cobb website..

i dont really notice a difference at all..

and i tried the live boost display.. and it shows me a reading of -9 at idle.. that goes down to -12 at around 7000 rpm..

i dont have a boost gauge on the car..

is there a problem with my car?
i thought i would feel a huge improvment after these mods

Your turbo is running backwards.

The previous post was a joke. You should do a data log (if possible with the AP-1 and check the boost and DAM during a 4th gear pull to see what your car is doing.

Target boost on a stg 2 map should be around 15.5 psi (+/-.5). You may have a boost leak somewhere, or a problem with your wastegate adjustment. Check for leaks, do a search on the target boost issue. Plenty of threads around about it. I'm hitting just under 16psi boost on my Stg 2 set up. You should be checking for boost levels in a 4th or 5th gear pull on the highways. Have someone ride along with you to check your AP for the readings while you drive, then go from there.

I'm not sure how accurate the AP1 is, mine does not seem to be. A boost gauge is cheap and easy. Max boost should be seen at WOT between 3500-5500 rpms and then it will taper down. 4th gear is usually the preferred gear for datalogging, would have to be going pretty fast in 5th to reach upper rpms. Can use 3rd if you're just checking boost. Can't datalog with AP1 unless you can find a copy of Streettuner which is what I use. How hot was it when you checked boost, ecu will drop boost if air intake temps are high.
