Stock is good. Do you want to suck your lug nuts through your wheels?

A re torque isn't a bad idea...

I usually do 75 ft. lbs. Torque them before every session. Do NOT torque them after you've just come in from a session and everything is hot.

So, when you retorque them before a sesion, do you loosen them first?

No. Just check them. 99% of the time they won't budge, but it's that 1% that you need to worry about. It's also a good check to make sure you haven't cracked/broken any lug studs.

After you mount your track tires,go out in the paddock (or parking lot depending on the track layout) and do a few figure eights at a low speed, then retorque. 75 foot pounds should be fine, I think that is what my torque wrench is set at.

I usually do 73 lbs and never had a problem.. only problem with over torquing is sometimes you brake wheel studs. or i have in the past.

I haven't tracked my car yet, but am I missing something here. My wheel torque is my owner's manual says 58-72 ft/lbs and my shop manual says 65.7 ft/lbs. I always torque to 65 and have never had an issue on street or at an autocross. 80 ft/lbs or higher seems really excessive to me.
