Default Install Baja Sport Activity Lights

Has anyone installed the Sport Activity Lights on the Baja? I'm wondering what the Clip Removal Tool is and if anyone had better directions / pictures of the wiring process.

Thanks,

Cool

Yes I have.

I used a small flat blade scewdriver to remove the covers.

If you buy a Subaru kit it comes with new covers for the bed panel.
It should also have the required Solenoid to plug in under the dash.

The Baja is basically pre wired so there is very little wiring to do.

2003 kit will even work on 2005 car if you just buy the 2005 solenoid as it is not the same one as on the 2003.

Pull console insert
Pull center dash cover
Pull lower insert with tray. Install switch
Find wire taped up to hu
Feed wire down to switch.
Once switch is plugged in install lower insert with switch.
Install center dash cover
Install concole insert.

Under left side of dash install solenoid.

Go to passenger side rear bed rail which requires you losen the roll bar.
Remove right side bed liner cover.
Plug in wire
Remove rear roof/window cover on passenger side
Plug in wire you got with lights to plug in rear roof panel.
Run wiring along inside of passenger side of roor rack side rail.
Lead up to front roof rack bar.
Mount lights
Plug lights into wire you lead to roof rack bar.

With parking brake on at least one click, turn on new Activity light switch and see that all is working.

Adjust light position to suit your needs.

Done.

Note: As per instructions to remove connection to heater/Defroster before removing center dash per instructions. Passenger side floorboard pull wire off of arm or you can brake the arm by pulling on controls when taking center dash apart.
