Nice driving Taig.... you and that Miata were hooked up. Howard was pretty gracious that you beat his time in his own vehicle. Uh! BTW,...where was your own car?

It took me till my last 2 runs but I finally whittled down my times to win Street Modified by 0.2 secs. I missed out on 3rd overall fastest time of the day by 6/1000ths of a second to John in his new gen Mini Cooper S. YOU guys in that Miata were WAAAAY out front!

I learned a lot today. So many details to get just right to set good times in a WRX. I am so out of practice. I think the last time I auto-crossed on pavement was 2003. The cones took no pity on me today.

Ultimately, the Miata's and Mini Cooper's are pretty darn hard to beat at that type of racing...no matter your mods or driving skill.

I was really pleased with how my own car performed but there is always some fine tuning that needs to happen to eek out a few more tenths. I was using my 90 octane map; I didn't get Torco before the event and couldn't use my race map. It was a nice shake down for the upcoming PCA, SCCA and Subzero events.

The weather was perfect, the competition fierce and all my carefully thought out mods paid dividends. Looking forward to the next "playtime".
