Question Help please, need to replace hud stud

Hi guys, i need to replace the hub stud on my 1995 classic scooby, i recently bought some new wheels etc, and when i tried to replace them found that the previous owner ( i only bought it 3mths ago) had kindly cross threaded one of the front hub studs. It was stripped on removal, i have a new one, and have got the manual but it does not cover this procedure,
Anybody had this problem and/or can help please?

I know it goes in from the rear /inside of the hub, but i don't want to strip it down to find i need to take it in for shop repair and have bearings replaced etc.

Take off the wheel, caliper, and rotor. Pound out old stud with BFH. rotate the hub until you find the spot the stud can fit into the hole. (it will go in, I just don't remember where the relief spot is). use a stud puller (rented at the Zone) to pull the stud through the hole. Reinstall rotor, brakes, wheel. Drive around for a while(<100 miles). Recheck wheel torque.
