Question Adjusting D-side Front Window

I have a 05 STi in which the d-side front window has become unaligned which makes closing the door a pita bc the window does line like up perfectly within the rubber surround around the door. Also the window motor strains to lift the window up past the halfway point. I printed out the window adjustment directions from the shop manual and made my way out to the garage and took the door card off and started the adjustment process, but i was unable to get it aligned. I can get the window aligned right to left and up to down, but for some reason I cannot get the window to move outwards. I have maxxed out the Stabilizers to the farthest out positions, but the glass still is inset and not making contact with the rubber gasket at the bottom of the window when the glass is rolled all the way up. The manual directions are not the clearest directions I have ever read in my life. I have searched all the forums and all i have come up with is 'take it to a body shop' so far.

I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience adjusting a subaru window, and can offer and direction or tips, as I cant seem to get it right.

thanks
-brad
