There is an opening for a Pre-Sales Engineer/Technical consultant for a Backup and Recovery systems role in the NW, covering Alaska, Washington, and Montana. You will only travel 10-20% of the time with this job, perhaps less.

It's expected you know SAN storage, data centers, servers, backup software, databases, and more.

You are expected to have sales experience, pre-sales experience, or be a customer with a very high level of experience with backup products and technologies.

Pay will be based on experience, base + commission. However in this role, expect somewhere around 100k-180k OTE as that is the current market pay (based on experience)

Anyone have some insight on on a company with a history or hiring recent college grads (internships are fine). With my degree and work history, I'm best suited for general office work/event coordinating/working with people (possible sales). Any advice?

If you don't mind this sort of work, I'd recommend a calling center. It's hard sometimes, but depending on the company you apply, commission will make it worth.
