Looking for weekend work. Long background in construction. 4 year Journeyman in Masonry, a bit of siding...currently working on my 4 year plumbing journeyman (June 1st baby, woo).

Currently working full time, but looking to shore up some weekend travel/track money for the summer. Any of said backgrounds I can handle, or any type of construction for that matter (labor, HOD carrier, whatever). Also have my own farm I maintain so basic outdoor work is also known, such as chainsawing, tractor clearing, ditch digging, etc.

I've got my own farm truck but I'd like to avoid using it unless I absolutely have to. (I love owning a 94 Ford with only 120k miles on it ).

I'm not straight out of high school, and I'm not desperate. I'm not fully employed because of my sparkling personality, it's because I work. Keep your 10/hr. jobs for the kids .

Also will do random maintenance jobs for someone's yard and/or house, depending on the complexity. I don't pretend to know everything, not quite a handyman...but I'll be honest and upfront with what I can or cannot do.

Sidenote: Taking bids on plumbing and masonry sidejobs

Not looking for any handouts, but I sure would appreciate any information regarding open positions. More than willing to move for the right job.

My company might be hiring soon, sounds right up your ally. Citrix based help desk for the government. good pay, benifets, you just need to be able to get secret security clearance. I'll hit you up when i hear about the opening. Any idea what your pay requirements would be to relocate?

I work at Isilon too, and I've got 4 openings on my team at (Global Program Manager jobs aren't mine, but I can refer too):

Our Job listing tool isn't very link-able, so you'll have to do some leg work: http://www.isilon.com/careers-isilon > click job listings > click search openings > choose Engineering-Other from Functional areas > Click Search

In case you're too lazy to follow the directions (which you shouldn't be, makes a bad impression

Sr. System Administrator - Linux/Unix guru, apache, mysql, bind, distributed development environment

Build Engineer - SVN, make, gcc, FreeBSD build guru

Python Dev / Build Engineer - Python, build automation, web developer

Tools Developer - Perl, Python, LAMP, database design, Open source customizations

PM me if you've got a resume that you think is a good fit. These are all senior positions, so I need experienced folks.

-Dave

That's my company hiring. Take the requirements with a grain of salt, as i didnt have a single one. If you're IT minded, you'll make the cut.

Congrats again.

There is still an opening for a parts driver. North runs from Auburn to as far as Burlington. 8:30-5 m-f. I believe it starts @ 9.50/hr. Its an easy kick back delivery job. Call and talk with Larry or stop by. Or pm me with any q's.

Paid College Internship with Portland Fire and Rescue

Hey all,

These opened up about a week ago. They're temporary and restricted to college students, but great experience and decent pay. I believe it's a little over $13 an hour. I don't work in this department, but just thought I'd toss out this heads up to anyone in school who is motivated and professional enough to work in this type of environment.

Cheers!
