Default 3rd Gen Impreza Faulty Evaporator Units?

Anyone with the new 3G body style deal with a faulty "evaporator unit"?

My A/C is not working.

I let the Subaru dealer look at it a couple weeks ago and that is what they said. I called them yesterday and the guy said it was backordered and that there are 3 other cars with the same problem.

Last week Tuesday driving from RI to CT I almost fainted behind the wheel because of dehydration. Luckily I was able to get to Wendy's and get some liquids. Phew!

I've heard from some a former Subaru service manager that there were a fair number of evap issues with Tribeca's. Maybe they are using the same company for the newer Impreza evaps. I hope that they don't become as bad as Chrysler evaps have been over the years.
