Default Is Five Guys on the west coast as good as Five Guys on the east coast?

I noticed that we have a few Five Guys in the L.A. area. Having never eaten at one before, should I get my hopes up? Will it be as good as people on the east coast claim?

This needed a new thread.

The ones here in St. Louis are just as good as the ones I had in Virginia.

Aren't they franchised? Not all franchisees are created equally.

If it tastes like sex in your mouth, then yes they are equally as good. If no sex taste, go to in-n-out and get your burgers there.

According to robman the east coast can **** up anything, and that's the reason that I don't think 5 Guys is the pinnacle of burger joints.

I just say he's a tasteless slob who's never had a good burger

We went this weekend. Decent, but overpriced - $17.40 for two people. I'd prefer to save $5 and go to In 'N Out or spend another $10 and go to The Counter.

It is only marginal on the south coast. Fried burgers are inferior to the grilled variety, no matter how you hollywood them up with toppings.
