Default custom grills?

Does any one know If you put a legacy front bumper on do you have to get a legacy grill too?
And, does everyone make their own custom grills for their baja or do they buy them?

what I do know is that you would have to make a custom grill for the Baja. i have yet to find a company that makes one. The grill from the outback will fit but not the legacy......well it will fit but there will be a gap on the bottom.

As for the bumper swap i have wondered the same thing........it would be nice to see some pics if someone has done it.

I tried to modify the stock grill but it turned into a mess. Used a dremel to cut the plastic but it started to melt. Then the paint I used chipped off. kidjoe: The grill for the Outback will fit? What about the Legacy Outback grills they have on ebay? Whats the difference? Has anyone tried them? Thanks.

Thge grill on the legacy outback will fit......if you look at the bumper it's pretty similar. the legacy bumper doesn't drop down like the Baja under the grill. There are plastic fabricators out there that do some pretty nifty work with broken motorcycle farings. This is the route that I'm going to try. I want to take B4 grill and mod it to the Baja.

Here's the link to the grill http://www.japanparts.com/images/Ima...base=1&no=4583

Default Baja Grille Options

Bought a 2003 Baja for my son, just a few weeks ago and we all love the little truck. Unfortunately, he hit a deer early this morning. Fortunately the damage is relatively minor, with a broken grille and denting to the hood, which I hope can be taken care of by paintless dent removal.

Having read this thread, I see that an Outback Grille should fit the Baja, if we can't locate the exact style, but can someone please confirm which Outback model years will work? Also, are there any good aftermarket or custom alternatives? Thanks for any suggestions and advice.

outbacks that use the same body style run 2000 to 2004. So those are your best bets for a grille that SHOULD fit.

Thanks! Turns out we're going to have to get a new hood as well, so I asume an Outback 2000 to 2004 item will fit that too.........
