Default well, i'm here in Ogden now

Just moved in today. i have a few things to say.

1) what the hell is up with weber's internet? photobucket is blocked...

2) i have a chinese foreign exchange student for a roommate, a bro dawg, and some dude that is at a funeral that i havent met yet. wtf.

3) i saw like 20 ppl that have to be on nasioc today. i saw at least 6 modded sti's. most were 04-05. but i saw a clean 06-07 wrx.

4) the traffic lights here are atrocious. they need updates. such as timing boxes and stuff. i hate stop and go traffic.

thats pretty much it. can't wait for the snow

Yeah not sure if you know what KSL is. Its utah's craigslist. Craiglist is almost useless here.

go to www.ksl.com creat an account in the classifieds section then your off and rolling.

oh boy... if #4 annoys you now, just wait. especially when you are in left hand turn lanes with a traffic light that has a green arrow light... and it never goes green arrow for you. Ogden and Honolulu are the two worst cities i have ever driven in.... the stoplights are on horrible cycles, and you fear for your life a lot of times.

Momo, there are about 30 different Chinese places in Ogden. Most are decent, some are VERY good. If you want to do some driving around and see what there is to see/do, PM me your number. I don't mind playing tour guide.

As for Chinese IN Ogden, close to Weber State.....go over to about 37th and Washington to a little place called Maple Garden, and if you like General Tso's, order the Szechuan Chicken. It is DIVINE.

As for good, clean fun, it depends on what you like to do. The University always has SOMETHING going on. For a good hangout place in general, The Salomon Center is good. There's the Flo-Rider indoor surfing thing, Fatcats (which is bowling, pool, mini-golf, and an arcade), The climbing wall in the Salomon Center, there's the iFly skydiving thing...some of those are kinda pricey, though. The movie theater across the street is really nice too, if you want to kick back and do nothing. In Riverdale, there is the mall (Newgate), and I swear the entire city is basically a shopping center. For good music, hit up Graywhale Music Exchange on Riverdale road. If you're into music or clubs, downtown Ogden doesn't offer a TON, but there is Mojo's, which is sort of a punk/emo coffeehouse type place on Washington, and there is a new 18+ club in Ogden that's supposed to be awesome, but I can't remember the name.

If you're lookin for Chinese foods, Jade's on like 48th and Harrison is really good.

As for fun, it all depends on what you're into. Friday/Saturday nights are for cruising Washington Blvd. There are a few clubs around, Teasers on 36th just below Washington, some new one below 24th and Washington, Mojos if you're into teenie boppers, or the Junction on 23rd below Washington. Don't forget about the cruising around the canyons too, even if it's not a Subby run lol. Ogden canyon is a nice drive, which you can take almost anywhere. It has some nice twisties in it.

You'll probably find 70% of the subbies in the Ogden area are NOT part of the forums. You'll probably end up spotting a few of us though. I know Kentrik (white bugeye) and myself (black bugeye w/ STI spoiler) are around town a bit. You'll also see Travis (black bugeye w/ STI spoiler and Morette's). Steve is around, but I rarely ever see him. He owns a PSM bugeye wagon, with some pretty fat black rims.

I saw Steve on my way down tonight. And Travis (he met up with us).

Good to meet you, D. I hope you enjoy it here. It's always nice to meet new people, especially when your in a new and unfamiliar place.

Speaking of new faces, Stoner, I don't think you and I have met....PM me your number, we'll have to hang out sometime. pK says you're the shee-it.
