Default Potenza RE-11s or Advan Neova AD08s?

Currently have the Potenza RE-01Rs (225/45/17) on and love them.

Next tires, which would be better since they don't make the RE-01Rs anymore? I want the best of both worlds, dry and wet grip. They're pretty much the same price at the Tire Rack.

Most important factors are dry and wet grip, everything else doesn't matter much, except maybe for tread life. I know treadwear ratings vary by company so which tire would last longer generally? Occasional spirited driving, daily driver.

honestly, if all you're doing is daily driving i'd look at different tires. no sense in spending extra money on tires designed for motorsports when there are competent tires which last longer for less.

I prefer the RE11 ride quality and wet grip over the AD08.
The dry performance is very close between them.
The RE11 would get my $$$

RE-11 by a mile. You'll miss the comfort if you go to the neovas and all you'll gain is some dry grip you won't be able to exploit on the street anyway.

Hi Luke, do u have a general idea on how fast the two brands fare when it comes to tread wear in real world driving? I'm just curious if one last longer than the other.

Bumping an old thread to see if there are any other Nasiocer's opinions on these two tires.

unless ur using them in autoX or light track duty, ur money is better spent on a lesser tyre.

eh, the RE11's don't wear out that quickly and they're not "overkill" for street either imho. The AD08's I'd agree are more of a waste on a car that sees more miles off the racetrack than on it.

I'm leaning towards the RE760s now. I can't justify spending the extra ~$500 for the RE11s on my daily driver.
