I used to work for a printing press company using old heidelburg's
I feel your pain on cleaning the press Matt, That was the worst part of the jerb for me

yar, we have 3 Chandler & Price Platen Press too, don't use them much though since most of the work is done on the Vandercook.

I think the small custom runs and the impression in the paper is what really appeals to me, but that is certainly something to keep in mind.

I really just started to look into this possibility a couple months ago, so I've got quite a ways to go before its a reality.
