Default What is "Air assist injector solenoid valve"?

On the vacuum lines diagram under the hood, I can see a "Air assist injector solenoid valve", what is it's function? Do I still need it if I have non-stock injectors (RC 550)?
It looks like the IAC solenoid is part of this system too.
Thanks!

On the 2000, 2001 cars it exists as a emmisions "aid" it is supposed to make the fuel "vaporize" (whatever u want to call it) better and quicker. Its a pain in the ass. and no it is not needed. (The car will run fine without it, but will throw a cel)

Thanks for the info, Kaos200.
So did you just plug up the three holes, one at the throttle body IAC solenoid, and two others at the injector boss?

well said kian. You prolly should leave it in there cause it'll make the car breathe better(and lean out a bit) at idle...this is if you have the stock ECU running the car.
