Scoobyclinic take over number 1 spot from PRODRIVE

Scoobyclinic a uk based subaru specialist took first place at the weekend at the scoobysprint (uk)

after entering the event in the 2nd round we have been chaseing the prodrive WRC2009 car driven by prodrive test driver terry Kaby.

The event was based on a sprint circuit along the same lines as the TOTB.

Scoobyclinic and a handfull of other uk based subaru tuners were set to battle prodrive for th number one spot.

But the event had a twist in the form of you the man on the street could enter this and battle along side the WRC2009 Ex Petter solberg Rally car

The scoobyclinic team entered last years uk time attack winning impreza driven by Andy Harvey

The compertion was hot the cars quick but we made one vital flaw in the second round we entered the last years set up on the car with the gt35r turbo on the car this was fantastic on tracks like silverstone but has far to much lag to keep up with the world car on a tight and twisty circuit.

but come round 3 we re-enginerd the cars set up to run a garrett GT30r twined with the 2.33 lump and producing 530hp at just less than 3000rpm we knew our goal was in sight

few of them from that middle vid need to sort their geometry out. Tonnes of understeer from some of them lol. SC car looked good and sounded awesome. That car is silly quick!

Now Back to prodrive impreza

this thing was quick and beat us by about 2 seconds on a 39 second sprint track

But round 3 we set the fasest time 4 seconds infront on the first run then sat back and watched everyone else try and catch up.

This time was held until the final shoot out where the top 4 cars battle out for the extra bonus ponit awarded to 1st place

The only main problem was that the WRC2009 was not there as it has been sold

But we were confident that we could have taken 1st agsit them.

But you never know

Olly and the boys @ RCM are close good friends of ours and this was all in good fun

but it was a straight shootout and olly fluffed it.

The pink car has run a 10.2

the gobstopper has run a 9.9 so not as quick

Yeah, you can see the RCM car has some legs, but it looked like it bogged or something about 100ft out.
