P1518 Starter switch circuit low input

Not sure what the missfires would have to do with the starter...

I would check your plugs change them If they havent already been changed in the last 30k miles, If your problem continues I would start swapping coil packs to see if the problem follows the coils, then atleast you would know what to replace

have no idea what p1518 has to do with any of this, but the p1507 is your idle air control system. If your idle air control valve is sticking or is clogged, it will cause your vehicle to idle kind of lopey. It will sound almost as if it has cams. Also, when you start your car cold, it may idle abnormally high for a few seconds and then suddenly drop rpms. If the idle air control valve gets bad enough, your motor will shake slightly at idle, which can cause your engine to throw misfire codes. If your idle is similar to this, I would try replacing your idle air control valve, and see what that does for you. They run about $235 from a dealership, but you can probably find a decent one used on here for WAY cheaper. Now, if your idle is not like this, then this information does not really apply...

I have seen some in my experiance with carbon and varnish build up,
you maybe able to clean it with some kinda of solvent, Kinda suprising
to see it fail at 54K i havent run into that at my dealership yet, have you
tried clearing it with cobb to see if it was a fluke?

06bluebird: Lets go back to basics for a moment. What changed on the car before the codes came on?

Have you checked the plugs and coil packs? (Both common problems.)

Might be a ground loose to a section of the engine harness that affects the ignition and the idle air control.

Happy to help with this if we can. Unless you made some mods to the car right before this I suspect it is something simple.

Keep me posted!
