Be patient. I'm sure some f the boys will be chiming in soon. Right now 30% of the board is down with car issues and prolly out in the garage working on them lol.

Oh and by "be patient" I mean listen to the chatter and then make your move on what u are going to do. There are a few different shops n town that will do amazing work on your car and there are individuals with great advice. Check with SIAS on international and Minnesota. They have always been helpful and prompt.

If you have metal noises coming from your turbo you need to take care of it now. If your turbo shoots metal into your engine, you'll have a complete egome rebuild on your hands.

I can take a look next week

intercooler should catch most of what the turbo spits out. I've heard of compressor wheels literal disintegrating and the engine being fine.

Oh yeah and your turbo may be toast. Just take it off and take a look. If you have alot of shaft play (especially in and out) or if the blades of the turbine or compressor wheel look jacked you have a problem.

Just take it off when you get time and take a look see; might be smart to locate a replacement before hand. Lot of used WRX turbos around; you can even find them in local junk-yards at this point, though you may have to remove it off the car yourself.

Shouldn't take you more than a couple hours if it's your first time.
