well i didn't need it. I read up some on the TD05H and it is component balanced there for impeller balancing isn't needed, but i marked my locations and successfully rebuilt my evo3 16g. Just have to get it on the car and make sure all is well. The shaft spins really smooth, no shaft play at all, and it only took me 3 hours from start to finish and that includes a drive to lowes to search for snap ring pliers

one of the oil control spacers was different so the impeller was locking up after i got it back together and had to tear it down and use the old one and noticed just how different they were...now she spins fine.

I think i figured out why it was buring oil too. it had a steal braided line fitting on it, massive amounts of oil going into the turbo would cause seals to seep oil out. Basically like a grease gun and filling a hub with the gun, if you keep filling it it will push the seal out and cause it to leak

If thats a ball bearing turbo it requires a restrictor in the oil feed line. Also make sure the return line isn't caked and blocked with crap.

So you're putting a 16G on an otherwise stock engine and non-turbo transmission?

Some shaft play on journal bearing turbos is normal when there is no oil pressure. Stick you hand in there while its running and check it. lol

I think Greeny is a little to focused on playing with his shaft. Just inspect the side walls for chaffing every once in a while, if you find this to be the case then you definitly know that is too much shaft play.
