Question 5x100 to 5x114.3 adaptor?

So I have a 06 wrx with the 5x100 bolt pattern. Looking to get some bbs sti rims off an 04 sti. I know a friend who has the bbs sti wheels with 5x114.3 pattern from the 06 07 sti's. Is it worth trying to get an adaptor if I get a good deal on the wheels? How safe are they? I am a newbie some what and would like to know if its worth trying to make a deal with him.

A 25mm adaptor is very safe, but combining that to a STI wheel you will have a pretty low offset and you'll need to do some fender rolling. I would suggest finding a 04 STI wheel to fit your 5x100 if you are just looking to stay stock with the fenders.

You could always sell the bbs that dont fit your car for more cash than you payed and than buy ones that do fit!!
