Exclamation LOL @ Wasilla man trying to make a profit or pawning off a bad suby?

http://anchorage.craigslist.org/cto/1361027822.html

This was for sale @ Kendell of Wasilla a month or so back for around 18k.

You can see from the dealer plates this is where it came from.

Wonder why he's already trying to sell it, and for more???

Use Caution Folks!

20,252 MILES Very nice car ADULT OWNED no mods all factory.
5 speed sunroof electric windows loaded options except has cloth seats

intercooled turbo 4 cyl boxer engine. Same drive train as WRX with same rims as the STI ( ALL FACTORY )

interier perfect, paint has a couple Alaska Mods. Very small scratches......

The factory warranty covers the entire car for 6 years or 36K miles. The Warranty belongs to the car not the owner, it transfers automatically to the buyer.

Call Subaru and ask ! Thier number is Service: 907-562-2722

No worries about mech problems because first it is a Subaru then second its under warranty !!!!

Thanks for looking,

Norm

Should be in OT where we could post our comments about this, but points exist outside OT therefore there is nothing that can be said or posted here on the topic of this thread.

What's wrong with it?

I sent him an email explaining how the wheels on it weren't the wheels from the STi, but he disagreed.

Kelley lists the car in Private Party excellent condition to be 21k, and he admits it's got some Alaskan bruises, which means it's probably in the good condition range, meaning 20k. He might make a profit... I doubt it though. Could be any number of reasons to get rid of it, needs a truck for work, getting a divorce, lost his job, who knows.

What the heck are you talking about? This is a perfectly suitable thread to not be in the OT thread. You're just gun shy.

Oh, I thought it was a limited, it's not... it's 20,450 excellent, 19,400 good. eh... still might be able to make a profit, but probably not!

Maybe he was upside down on the trade in and he owes 21k or maybe he is trying to create a bigger cushion for lowballers or maybe he is just smoking the good ol' wassillly stuff.

it is STi inspired with STi center caps... with STi stamped on the lip of the rims. So he is not entirely incorrect, he just doesn't have all the info.

I know. I explained to him that they were not the same size as the ones that come on the STi, but look similar.

Sports XT = 17x7 +48
STi = 17x7.5 +53

But he went on thinkin' he was right.

By the soudns of it if it checks out VIN wise alright via carfax and from Subie dealer I'd think he maybe just bought off more than he can chew. Happens to all of us.

As stated, he mightve traded in something to get a more fuel effecient vehicle and realize he cant afford it, needs a larger vehicle for unexpected twins, yada yada etc. If I was interested I woudl probably straight up ask him why is he selling it.
