Default stock 07 sti - rear 02 sensor on its way out?

Hey guys, ive been reading up on these CELs?, but it seems everybody who gets it is running a later model subaru with an aftermarket exhaust.

I got the codes pulled and i had 2 CELS

P0137 cat efficiency rear o2 sensor low voltage
P2096 the dreaded too lean code rear 02 sensor

I had a TBE installed with the mechanical cel fix (plug anti fouler) which is a prime candidate for these codes from what i understand. i would get them once in a blue moon. It started to do it more frequently and finally i just put the stock exhaust back on.

I was driving today, and these CELS popped back up... could my rear 02 sensor be going out? the low voltage CEL leads me to beleive that..

would a bad 02 sensor cause an actual too lean condition (dont beleive its likely but thought id ask), or is the sensor just reading off?

Thank you in advanced... all of you knolegeable and experienced subaru owners!

Default

bump.

could this be the front 02 sensor?

I do notice a bit of a ticking sound coming from what seems like the front left, maybe like a small exhaust leak at the ehaust manifold. It could also be mechanical valvetrain noise It would be odd that it could be leaking because i havent touched a wrench the exhaust manifold.

i know these CELs can be associated with exhaust leaks.
