Default My "taking forever" rallycar build ...

So I started in March of this year and I'm pretty happy how far I've got in a year....unfortunelty I've miss about the whole season. Hillclimbs is pretty much all the car has seen this year with an exception of 2 auto-x's.

Anyways this is pretty much how the car stands. Only things left are Gravel Suspension, 34mm restrictor and some minor things like hood latches and trunk latches! Hopefully I'll be on the stages next year

Spec's on the car:

Interior:
Cobra Suzuka GT's
Schroth Profi 6 pts
Custom Cage by Chris Howard
Terratrip 202+ Rally computer
Terratrip Pro Intercom
CamelBag water bags on cage for in stage refreshments
3-Saftey Triangles
1-spare gravel wheel with tire
First Aide kit
Spill Kit
Tow Rope
2.3 litre ESS fire supression system
1-10lb BC handheld fire ext.
Defi Amber - Boost - Oil Temp. - EGT with control unit
Hero GoPro Camera
Terratrip Killswitch
Relocated DCCD switches
lots of zip ties

Exterior
Custom Mudflaps
JDM Spec C roof vent
Nukabe tow hook
'05 Tails
even more zip ties

Power
Cobb Stage2 - EFI Logics
Custom 3'' Exhaust - Straight with Cat

Suspension
DBA - Gravel

All to run in GT class ... maybe down the road a 30r with restrictor/built block for open ...

comments, hate and such welcomed

^no but if you read the rules they allow you to downsize in order to fit a 15'' gravel wheel. Hence why I'm running 06 WRX 4/2 pots

For tarmac you're allowed to change to the stock brakes if you want. I don't notice very much of a difference at all. not worth the hassle.

Thanks for the kind words!

We're hoping to get the car out early next year. We'll be running NASA for the fact that there are just more events. So hopefully the following

Rally New York - April
Rally Tennesse - May
Black River Stages - September

Team O'neil in January is a big ???

Also we'll be doing all the hillclimbs we can, RA just signed on with NEHA to make them coeffient events now.

RA has license restriction so I'm hoping with more experience in NASA they'll except me in the later stages so then I can transfer between the two

I thought I saw you at NEFR? I must be thinking of last year. The mud graphic always sticks in my mind.

Taking forever!?!? lol.. You are making awesome progress...

Do you like the Suzukas? We just changed out to the evolutions so we have head restraint seats...

I like what you did with the map light... i may kinda steal your idea for the evo..

And for the trunk, just do what I did... MUCH easier & cheaper than latches...

And for the hood, when you do latches... leave the OEM latch. Its a nice safety advantage.
