Default Fuel Filter Question

I am beefing up my SVX fuel system and was wondering if anyone knows the recommended fuel filter micron size spec for our cars? I have the side feed injector system like the older RS models. It seems there are some aftermarket options of 6 micron all the way down to 1 micron. Anyone know what the stock system uses? It seems to work well, its just smaller than I want.

I wonder if the fewer the microns, the less the restriction? I don't know much about stock fuel filters, and don't know of anyone having to upgrade them to suffice fueling needs.

Default Subaru Parts

As for subaru parts, I am rebuilding my fuel system. I am going to 1/2" fuel line for future HP of 650 HP. I am going to a new filter system. Subaru parts are not an option at this point.

The fewer microns, the more the restriction.

what about a K&N fuel filter??? not sure what those are rated but maybe you could use from from a 300zxTT or a supraTT those would flow a lot i would imagine...

also are you using intake or out of tank pumps on your car?

I'm not too sure which pump I will be using yet. That will one of my last mods. The stock pump will support 450 HP. I would like the flexibility to go to 500 to 600 HP and may do a pump to handle up to 900 HP for extra fuel recirculation and rail cooling. That is why I would like a larger fuel system. Now is the time to do stuff like this.
