hybrid motor with all stock 02 wrx parts?
i have an ej20 that only has around 20k on it. i am swapping the block with an ej257 i will be using all stock wrx parts. is this ok? i see lots of people saying to uprade oil pumps, fuel pumps ect. i will be using everything stock minus a few after market bolt ons. here is what i got.
one piece headers and up pipe.
short intake filter
hight flow catted down pipe
i am still using.
i am not doing any upgrades more than what i have for a long time (gotta let the dust settle with the wife)
but if i would i would up grade the nessisary supporting mods.
bottom line is can i run it on stock stuff?
i want 300hp or less

I'm building the same setup right now with some slight diferent mods (sti pink injectors, walbro 255, stock ej257 block, PnP ej20 heads and big 16g turbo) and I got lots of question before I start, like if can hook up the avcs with this hybrid setup and is there will be any CR problems. I would love to see where this goes, hope we can get some straight answers. Good luck.

I would say you would need to upgrade the fuel system. There is no reason not to, for example an 08 oil pump, walbro 255 fuel pump, APR Headstuds just to name a few. In a short summary if you are going to throw in a 2.5 block I would also recommend changing out the pistons to something like CP-lightweight forged pistons for the 2.0 heads. That way you eliminate the weaknesses of the 2.0/2.5 common issues. Either way good luck.
As for you Jevera2k I would get bigger injectors than the STI pinks like 650cc. You'll be running really high at the injector cycle almost 95% or so for sure.
