Default Scammer/Telemarketer keeps calling my house. I want ideas.

As the title states, a company claiming to be a "security" firm for Brinks home security calls my house almost on a daily basis. I've told them numerous times to stop calling to no avail. I'm already on the "do not call" list. What can I do? The number is (912)756-7604, and it gets a ton of Google hits in regards to it being a scam / telemarketing. What can I do to end this? Better yet, what can I do to get even?

i dunno, this kinda sounds somewhat amusing.

Quote:
#
Step 1

Tell the telemarketer you are hard of hearing. They will talk a little louder. See how loud you can get them to yell into the phone.
#
Step 2

Every time they tell you something, say, "I knew you were going to say that".
#
Step 3

Tell the telemarketer you are busy eating dinner and ask if they will hold. Set the phone down on the table and continue your dinner as normal. When you are finished, return to the call. About half the time, they will still be there. If so, you can refer to any other applicable steps to continue to torment them.
#
Step 4

Tell them to talk very slowly, because you want to write every word down.
#
Step 5

After a few minutes say, "Youíre going to have to bear with me; I have a short term memory loss problem. Who is this again?"
#
Step 6

Mid pitch, stop him and complement him on his wonderful voice. Explain that you are a voiceover scout and might have a breakthrough commercial job for him. Ask if he wouldnít mind doing a quick test. Ask him to say in a deep husky voice "May cause dizziness, diarrhea, vomiting and shortness of breath. A small number of participants in a recent clinical trial experienced weight loss, irregular clotting, abnormally frequent and/or painful urination and hair loss. Results may vary"
#
Step 7

Insist that the caller is really your buddy Frank, playing a joke. "Come on, Frank, cut it out! Seriously, how's your momma?"
#
Step 8

If they do not volunteer the information, ask their name and what company they work for. Ask them to spell their name. Then ask them to spell the company name. Then ask them where it is located, how long it has been in business, how many people work there, how they got into this line of work if they are married, how many kids they have, etc. Continue asking them personal questions or questions about their company for as long as necessary. Make sure they know you are taking copious notes.
#
Step 9

Tell the Telemarketer, "Okay, I'll listen to you. But I should probably tell you, I'm not wearing any clothes."
#
Step 10

Cry out in surprise, "Judy? Is that you? Oh my God! Judy, how have you been? I havenít seen you in years!"
#
Step 11

Hopefully, this will give Judy a few brief moments of terror as she tries to figure out where she could know you from.
#
Step 12

After the Telemarketer gives his or her spiel, ask him or her to marry you. When they get all flustered, tell them that you can't just give your credit card number to a complete stranger.
#
Step 13

Tell the Telemarketer you are busy at the moment and ask if he will give you their home phone number so you can call him back. When the Telemarketer explains that telemarketers cannot give out their home numbers say, "I guess you don't want anyone bothering you at home, right?" The Telemarketer will either agree or hang up. If they agree, you say, "Me neither!" and hang up.
#
Step 14

Ask them to repeat everything they say, several times.
#
Step 15

Tell the Telemarketer you are on "home incarceration" and ask if they could bring you some beer.
#
Step 16

Allow the telemarketer to fully explain his offer. When he is finished, get the name of the company and proceed to explain you are a Quality Assurance Contractor, hired by his company to randomly analyze the performance of the telemarketers. Tell him that he did good overall, but that he is a bit monotone and needs to emphasize his tone of voice in order to sound more convincing. He also should pause longer between sentences, and annunciate more clearly all of the syllables. Tell him since it wasnít so bad, you will give him a second shot if he repeats his speech to you with the appropriate corrections. Come up with new things for him to do. When you start to get bored, throw out absurd things so he will know itís a joke. See if you can get him to talk with an Australian accent or talk like Jack Nicolson.

I say make sure your windows and doors are locked when you're not home. The "scammer" might be trying to find the hours when you're not home and break into your house while you are gone.

If they ask what kind of security system you have, tell them you it is none of their business. They might also be trying to figure out if you have a security system, in order to find a way to bypass the system or which will do nothing except make lots of noise.

Don't be a victim.

Did you File a Complaint with Do Not Call, not just register?

https://complaints.donotcall.gov/com...k.aspx?panel=2

I had a problem with one that wouldn't STOP CALLING, reported it, and they never called again. I like to pretend the guberment had them whacked!

"This company that must pay you so much so that you keep coming in despite you knowing that you're just going to have people hang up or shout at you all day long. What's their name? No, not Brinks, that's who they're working for. The company name on your paycheck. What is it?"
