Default Height for car #'s?

I am going to try and have a sign shop make some numbers on a magnetic backing for autocross.

Anyone use these? The white background is about 2" higher than the numbers, and the ready-made numbers I've seen vary in height from 10 to 19 inches!

Just made the measurements. On an 09 WRX, a 14" high panel will fit comfortably.
