Default How good is the 02 wrx oil pump

I am going to be changing my timing belt, with all pulleys and tensioners, and the water pump as well. Do I need to go ahead and change out the oil pump as well or are they not prone to failure. Its an 02 wrx with 122000.

Thanks

I think one might be an 03 but there are two more psm bugeyes here in southern indiana as well. For people talking about how they are disappearing I see more of them then the newer body styles. I just want to keep mine going that's why I want to know if i need to swap the oil pump. Its 122 on subaruparts.com

In the FSM there is a specified clearance between the rotors. If it's not excessive re-use it. It sounds like you really want to do the job though. Replace it. It's cheap insurance.
