Unhappy Heard a Loud Crack and then the Clutch Pedal Flew to the Floor :(

So i'm driving along fine...accelerating ok with no problem. As I slow to make a turn around a corner, i push in the clutch to take it out of 4th and put into 2ndas i push in the clutch and put it in to 2nd, and slowly let up the clutch, i hear like a loud crack and then the clutch pedal flies to the floor. It then requires almost no effort to push in the pedal. So after this happened, it was next to impossible to put it in any gear. I was able to force it into first and kind limp it to where I was going, but after I got there, that was it. I could not put it into gear whatsoever. Someone helped me push it to the curb so it wasnt out in the middle of the street. And that was that...i had to have it towed to my house.
Tomorrow I guess Ill have it towed to the dealership and get a loaner or rental to hold me over.
Anyone have any ideas as to the issue??

I'm betting the clutch fork broke or the clutch line ruptured.

he probably meant he was driving along in 4th, and pushed in the clutch to slow down when he got closer to the corner and put it in 2nd to make the turn

It sounds like you tried to slip the clutch into 2nd... Try rev matching next time. Or double clutching if you don't want to wear the syncros either.

i usually rev match...i dont like slipping the clutch at all. i dont remember slipping it this time around. i gave it some gas to get it up to around 2k rpm, and then let up on the clutch to catch, and as it caught, crack! the pedal had no feel to it. for 5 mins or so, i could still use the clutch pedal and it would grab at its normal point, but there was no feeling to the pedal, and it was difficult to get into any gears.

Check the angle of the clutch fork on the top of the bell housing. Take a picture and post it up.
