I launched my car fairly hard last night then noticed I had no power once i gained traction, and my CEL was flashing. The car was stumbling/misfiring pretty badly under slight throttle so I shut the car off a couple times while in motion which turned the light off. From the next stoplight the car seemed to be misfiring badly, Flashing CEL again, then all of the sudden the CEL went solid and it was running fine. Even went through 2nd and 3rd HARD(I know that wasn't smart) with no hesitation and normal power. Next stoplight The car again stumbled bad and I pulled over and reset the ECU( unhooked negative and held brake pedal). Started the car back up and the CEL was on and the car was idling rough and pulling around 10-13 vacuum(20 being normal). Drove it around the block, car stopped stumbling, returned to normal idle and vacuum.
With the car once again stumbling and the CEL on solid I went to autozone to have my codes read. NOTHING. No codes. Went to another location and still no codes even though my CEL was on. Car still stumbles every now and then, but then sometimes it runs fine...maybe more than fine; actually I would swear the car is making more power all of the sudden(boost is normal). Also no blowby that I can feel when Reving the engine with hand over oil fill. What is going on? All tuned on ECUtec-Dynocomp E-85 Mods: Stock longblock Td06-20g bosch 1000cc injectors Walbro pump SSAC FMIC TGV Delete 3" turboback APS inlet, SPT intake 6spd, stock 6spd clutch

Just checked all the Conections at the coil packs and everything seemed fine. Removed the washer fluid tank for easy access to the coil packs for the next few days so I can disconect individual cylinders next time its idling rough...hoping it's a coil pack on its way out. If anyone has had similar symptoms please point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Last car I had with a CEL and no codes was a '95 Bonneville. Turns out the ECU was toast.

Your not using a Utec by chance are you? Flashing CEL on the 16 bits usually means severe knock but it could also be a bad coil pack or improper sparkplug gap. The code might be pending so it's not going to show unless you get a scanner. Check your IAM as well. Search "flashing CEL" . Just remeber that on the 06+ WRX with the 32 bit ECU always get a flashing CEL with most codes the 16 bit ECU (02-05) just get it when something bad has happened or is going to.......
