So i just purchased an 02 wrx, i have been reading up on some open source tunes and such. I live in salt lake city and was wondering if anybody has heard of a guy named Richard Gibby? He had an ad for a street tune and i was wondering if anybody has him work on a car or any feed back? thanks

I would trust a stoned college student over some dude on KSL. Especially someone who is stupid enough not to post on here.
This site > some dude, in terms of there ability to help with tune. Warranty, ha ha ha, where have I heard that before? |

oh for sure, I'll see if I know anyone personally and let ya know!
You could actually just get the program and cable, I think like $200 and just learn to tune it yourself too. |

I would go with Braden over at www.osecuroms.org
You would have to learn to reflash and post logs but the guy knows his **** and his prices are dirt cheap. He pro tuned my car for free when I had a WRX. |

That's a good way to go. You will be into it about
$100.00 for a Tactrix cable $195.00 for a AF wideband (with gauge) If it's only stage 2 I can help you out w/o a wideband |

I AM NOT A TUNER!!!!
haha. I have stage 2 maps that I can flash on your car. With out a wideband or a EGT it makes tuning difficult to say the least. Since your list isn't crazy I am sure I have a map for your liking.... NOTE: It won't be as good as a custom tune, but w/o a wideband or EGT gauge it won't really make a difference unless you goto cobb. (they will probe your tail pipe) That will be about $400.00 for your tune.... I don't know who is tuning there currently. Christian is awesome but I don't think he is tuning currently and I don't know who is. |

Sorry not "tune" I meant just put one of your maps on since that is what you were going to do to mine to see if that would fix my problem. Not a Tuner! just a Genius! lol

Your car currently has a narrow band for measuring your air fuel mixture through voltage. it is only accurate in a narrow band. The wide band allows for a wider range of voltage. Which helps in tuning to get it right.
