Yes, but mykr will say no since its a bar and people can still smoke inside. IMO, Emory is more smoky than Gatsby's. But then mykr said he's hanging out with his dad, so his opinion doesn't count.
It's funny to listen to you say this joint or that joint is better for skiing/snowboarding here in MI Bradfjord because ALL ski hills in the midwest are boring and small compared to places out west. I grew up riding on a trash dump (Mt Brighton) and Alpine Valley. IMO all the places charge too much for the amount of "vertical feet" or # of runs they have. This is one reason I don't like riding here in MI that much. It's a 20/30 second run and a 1.5 min ride up the chairlift again. I'll save my pennies and go riding outwest where your legs and lungs burn after a run in the powder or blasting down the groomed stuff. I'm going up north in a few weeks to hang out with some good friends and dork around on a big skateboard that my feet are nailed to. Also hoping to run around on my snowshoes as well.

Yes my opinion on where the meet was this week is a moot point since I'm not there and I'm hanging out with Dad before he smartly leaves the cold for three months but...my opinion is still better than yours.

As for the Emory v Gatsby's debate. I like the Emory better because even though they allow smoking in there, it seems like the ventilation is better. The beer is better and I don't feel like I'm sitting in a 70's basement eating @ the kid's table while Uncle Bob and Aunt Betty chain smoke blowing it in my face. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the burger I had @ Gatsby's last time we ate there but I'll take it with a bit less smokey flavour.

When comparing minivans it doesn't make sense to talk about sports cars. I was unaware that the quality of the resorts out west had any impact on the comparison of what is available to us locally. The Rockies are definitely better, but they aren't here. I'm glad you can afford to spend the season out west skiing on real mountains. I'm sorry you have to suffer through a trip to local hills. In the future I'll be sure not to include you in any plans to hit the slopes. I don't want you to have to turn your nose up even higher.

Eh. Whatever. I'd rather get some time on a trash heap and get some practice in then spend a lot of time and money to get somewhere and realize I'd forgotten how to turn.

wow i didn't realise that I could be more snobby about something than you brad. Unfortunately I can't/don't spend money riding out west but also don't like going locally every week because to me it's just not that fun to hit the same runs over and over. I did that for years. I guess I'd rather go on a nice ski trip once every couple seasons than ride here every weekend.

it might be a different story if I got to ski for free/cheap and had real skillz like you.

I'll have to see where its at in the garage. I'm not sure if I put it up or if its off to one side. Clayton might have to move the bimmer, but I can put it in the side of the garage and you can stop by and get it whenever you have time. Garage door isn't locked.

I'm working on that part. I put in my application for Ski Patrol. Assuming I can pass my 1st aid stuff I'll have the ability to get a comp'd ticket for a friend any time I'm at the hill. As long as Angie isn't with me it'll go to whomever gets there first.

zOMG peoples...it's only snow!!! If you can see the concrete or asphalt, it's clear enough to go at least 2/3rd's of the posted speed limit.

I was having enough trouble steering with one hand and wiping the ice off the inside of the windshield with the other to worry about speed yesterday

Can't wait until i can garage my AWD vehicle and drive the RWD one, might be able to get around in this weather...

free-no, discounted - probably not, if you need tyres rotated and balanced i would maybe do yours and will make your wait slightly shorter as well as torque to proper specs maybe
